Federal Drug Crimes in Torrance

Former-Prosecutor Insight for Federal Drug Cases in Torrance & the South Bay

A federal drug investigation can put your liberty, property, career, and reputation at risk before charges are even filed. We represent clients facing high-stakes federal criminal investigations and charges, drawing on the insight Attorney Parag Agrawal gained while making charging decisions and leading major prosecutions within California’s justice system.

A case may begin with a search, seizure, arrest, target letter, criminal complaint, or grand jury indictment. Early analysis can clarify the procedural stage, identify urgent deadlines or restrictions, and determine whether there’s an opportunity to address the allegations before the case gains momentum.

More Than a Decade of Trial & Appellate Experience

Attorney Agrawal served as a prosecutor and executive team member in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. That experience gave him direct knowledge of how prosecutors assess evidence, evaluate trial readiness, and decide whether to file or pursue charges.

He also served as a California Deputy Attorney General, managing high-stakes state appeals, writs, and trials. Earlier, as a Los Angeles Deputy City Attorney, he developed his courtroom advocacy through numerous trials. We now apply his more than a decade of trial and appellate experience to complex criminal cases in state and federal courts.

Building an Evidence-Driven Federal Drug Defense

We start with the facts, not the government’s characterization of them. We conduct an independent investigation, examine how the evidence was collected and interpreted, and develop a strategy tailored to the allegations, procedural posture, and client’s broader concerns.

Our preparation may include:

  • Analyzing charging theories: We examine the alleged conduct, each person’s claimed role, and the evidence offered to establish knowledge or intent.
  • Reviewing physical and digital evidence: We assess searches, seizures, communications, financial activity, laboratory evidence, and chain-of-custody issues.
  • Coordinating additional resources: When the facts require them, we work with investigators, digital forensic professionals, forensic accountants, mitigation professionals, and strategic communications professionals.
  • Preparing for litigation: We prepare each case as though it may proceed to trial while evaluating motions, negotiations, and other available options.

Clients have direct access to their attorney throughout the representation. When representing licensed professionals, executives, business owners, and high-profile individuals, we also consider how each decision could affect privacy, employment, professional licensing, and reputation.
